FE4 Lesson Plans
Below are some examples of lessons I have taught throughout my fourth field placement with a grade 5 and a grade 6 classroom. These are various types of mathematics lessons and some English Language Arts lessons.
English Language Arts
Throughout my field placement, both grades 5 and 6 were learning about podcasts. This was a unit I had planned and organized with the Tech team at my stage school. We were watching a series in the classroom called the 6-Minute Podcast. Using this as an example, students worked together to develop a script and eventually began to record their own podcasts using an engaging tool called Anchor.fm. This was an exciting unit to plan and something my students really enjoyed.

Mathematics
Below are various examples of math lessons I have taught over the course of my field placement. This includes multi-step word problems, division, long division, and fractions. Each lesson is taught through an engaging presentation followed by workbook pages, math centres and online quizzes. As these math concepts can be difficult for students, I worked towards creating inclusive lessons that provided various ways of showing their work and understanding of the concepts. This can be seen through the various presentations below.

Modified Math Work
Here are two examples of modified and adapted work I provided for my grade 6 students. The word problems are examples of modified work I created for students to continue to work on their problem-solving skills at an appropriate level to their understanding. As for the fractions, this was an interactive activity for certain students to further understand fractions.
